What ingredients are used in Ambrosia Flame Candles?

A.

Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, cotton/paper wicks, a blend of fragrance oils and essential oils, Pink Himalyan Sea Salt, organic flower petals, fruit peels, and other ingredients found in nature. Ingredients differ depending on which candle you choose, but every single candle in toxin-free and dye-free.

Are your products Organic & Vegan?

A.

Our natural soy candles contain some (not 100%) organic ingredients, but are created using 100% natural ingredients. Our products have not been certified as vegan, although we do not use any animal-derived ingredients.

Are your candles and wax melts made in the USA?

A.

YES! All of our candles are handcrafted in our small location in Madison, WI.

Q.

Do your wicks contain zinc or lead?

A.

No, we use cotton/paper based wicks which are metal-free.

Q.

I have a soy allergy. Is it safe for me to burn soy candles?

A.

Yes! Soy must be digested to enter the bloodstream and cause an allergic reaction, therefore if it's burned it will not negatively affect you in the same way as it does by being ingested.

How long will it take to receive my order?

A.

All orders are processed within 1-3 days at our shop in Madison, WI. Depending on the size of your order and your location, USPS can take 2-7 business days to get to you, once shipped. Holidays and weather can affect shipping times. Please use rush shipping for orders you need quickly.

What shipping carrier service does Ambrosia Flame Candles use?

We currently use USPS or UPS for all of our shipments, depending on pricing and speed of delivery.

Do you ship Internationally?

A.

No, we only ship within the United States.

Does my order have tracking information?

A.

You will receive tracking information via email once your order has left our shop. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to update.

I received a broken candle. What should I do?

A.

Accidents sometimes happen when shipping glass jars. Refunds and Replacements must be addressed within 10 days of receiving an item. Contact us at AmbrosiaFlameCandles@gmail.com with your name and order number, as well as a description of the damage and a photo, if possible.

Is the fragrance emitted by these candles strong or overpowering?

A.

No, our candles are pleasant, light, and not overwhelmingly fragrant. Our candles produce a beautiful scent that differs, depending on the size of the room in which it is burned in.

Q.

My candle is tunneling. Is this normal?

A.

Sometimes when you burn a soy candle and don't allow it to burn for long, it will tunnel, meaning that wax will build on the sides of the container. To prevent this, give your candle proper time to form a pool of wax, covering the top from side to side. Also, make sure to trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each use.

Why is my candle changing color? (Yellow, Pink) Is it still ok to light?

A.

We pride ourselves on creating high-quality, natural candles and therefore, we NEVER use additives, UV inhibitors, unnecessary chemicals or dyes. Because of this and our use of certain fragrances and essential oils, our candles may change color when exposed to sunlight. The color change will in no way change the fragrance, burn, or quality of our candles! 

Q.

What should I know about lighting these candles?

A.

Trim your wick to 1/4” every time before lighting your candle, to ensure that it reaches its maximum burn time, prevents tunneling, and reduces smoking. For more information check out our Candle-Burning Tips
